Free career interest test for students - Aptitude+ by MyUniCompass
An interest profile: what kinds of work fit you. A 48-question career and course interest test for students in Grade 9 to 12, based on RIASEC (the Holland model that school counsellors and university careers services use). It takes about 10 minutes. Your strongest type is free the moment you finish; the full written report and PDF are ₹1,499 + GST in India, and what you paid is credited if you join the plan later.
What the test measures
RIASEC maps how you prefer to work and think across six types. Exactly 8 of the 48 questions feed each type, so no type can score highly just by being asked about more often. It measures preference, not ability, and it is not an IQ test.
- Realistic (R) - You think with your hands. You would rather build the thing, test the thing, and see it work than read three papers about it first.
- Investigative (I) - You want to know why. You are comfortable sitting with a hard problem for a long time, and you trust evidence over confidence.
- Artistic (A) - You need room to make something of your own. Rigid structure drains you, and you notice how things look and feel before anyone points it out.
- Social (S) - You are drawn to work that visibly helps someone. You explain things well, and you are the person others end up talking to.
- Enterprising (E) - You want to run it, not just be on it. You are persuasive, you like a scoreboard, and being told what to do wears on you.
- Conventional (C) - You bring order to messes. You are precise, you finish what you start, and you spot the error everyone else scrolled past.
What is in the written report
Six pages, written from your own 48 answers rather than from a template: all six scores and what the pattern means, how you work best, eight careers that fit and why each one does, seven named majors, the paths that would genuinely grind against your profile including the fashionable ones, four kinds of university worth looking at first with real examples, the traps for your profile, and a 90-day plan of concrete free things to do next. It arrives on screen and as a PDF you can keep or hand to a parent.
For parents
There is no timer, no syllabus and nothing to revise, and it cannot be failed. It will not tell you which university to apply to and it will not predict admission. The test cannot be retaken, deliberately: a test you can sit until you like the answer measures nothing. Under Indian law a parent or guardian is the one entering into the purchase for a student under 18.
