What exactly is MyUniCompass?

Who is my counsellor, and how do I get one?

A professional counsellor who has passed our vetting: a written trial task on a sample student, an ID check, and a probation period with a small number of students first. You pick your counsellor, or we suggest the best fit for your profile. Counsellors never write your essays, never promise admission, and never take commissions from universities or agents.

What does it cost?

One plan, ₹50,000 a year + GST (₹59,000 a year including GST). It includes the step-by-step guide and your counsellor, 2 sessions a month. Steps 1 to 3 are free, with no time limit and no card. Student mentor sessions (for students on the plan) and the Aptitude+ report are priced separately. Founding members keep the deal they joined on.

Which boards and countries does it support?

IB, CBSE, ICSE, A-Levels, AP and more - 20 examination boards in total - with 10,000+ universities across the US, UK, Canada, India, Singapore, Australia and beyond. Wherever your child wants to apply, the guidance adapts to their board and target countries.

How is this different from a traditional consultant?

You still get a person: your counsellor, twice a month. The difference is that the work between sessions is laid out for you step by step, every number shows where it came from, and your counsellor has your profile, list and deadlines in front of them before you start. Nobody here takes commissions from universities, so nobody is steering you towards one.

My child is under 18 — do you need my permission?

Yes, and we ask for it properly. India's data protection law treats anyone under 18 as a child, so we ask every student for their date of birth and, where they are under 18, email a parent or guardian a link to give or refuse permission before we keep processing their information. We also never run behavioural tracking or advertising on under-18s - that stays off whatever you decide, because it is not something a parent can switch on. You can withdraw permission at any time and we delete the account.

Can I follow my child's progress as a parent?

Yes, and you don't need an account. Add your email under your child's Profile and you'll receive a progress report - readiness, school list, deadlines, and how you can help - straight to your inbox. Your child can also send you a private snapshot link any time.

Can we try it, or talk to someone, before paying?

Yes to both. Steps 1 to 3 are free, with no time limit and no card. And you can book a free call with Mehul, the founder, to ask anything first. Parents are welcome on the call.
